All antelopes and warthogs were rescued by people in and around town, then send to Felidae. All of them were hand raised. They were all found abandoned and alone without their parents to raise them, and wouldn’t have made it without our help.

COOL Facts


Their tusks are enlarged canine teeth that protrude upwards from its mouth. There are two pairs: the shorter, lower pair are worn to a razor-sharp edge by rubbing against the longer, upper pair whenever the mouth is opened and closed.



Warthogs have been observed allowing banded mongoose and vervet monkeys to groom them in order to remove ticks from their hairless hides.

Warthog sows may foster nurse piglets if they lose their own litter. This behaviour is known as allosucking and is thought to be a sign of altruism, rather than mistaken identity or milk theft. It means that they are classed as ‘cooperative breeders’.


Springbok is one of the fastest animals on the planet. It can reach speed of 60 miles per hour.
Springbok can jump 6.5 to 9 feet from the ground. Series of consecutive leaps, known as “pronking”.
Springbok can survive up to 10 years in the wild.



Steenbok can reach 24 to 27 inches in length and 15 to 35 pounds of weight.
Steenbok is covered with short, golden-brown or reddish-colored coat. Chin, throat and belly are white in color. Eyes are encircled with white hair. Inner side of the ears is covered with dark, finger-shaped lines.
Steenbok has extremely large, broad ears and excellent sense of hearing. It also has large eyes and good eyesight.
